Respect – we believe that mutual respect and eye-level interaction are the base for all human interaction
Mankind´s carbon budget is evaporating. And fast. Keeping global warming within 1.5 degrees C is now an incredibly optimistic target and would require unprecedented action.
We need negative emission technologies (NETs). Now.
Even keeping temperature increase within 2 degrees C – the internationally agreed maximum acceptable risk – will be a huge task. A task that will require everything we can do. Reducing emissions alone is not enough. We will need to remove emissions from the atmosphere actively.
It is our vision that mankind needs to unite to face this challenge. For actively removing carbon from the atmosphere, we have to coordinate our efforts on a scale never seen before.
“All pathways that limit global warming to 1.5°C with limited or no overshoot project the use of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) on the order of 100–1000 GtCO2 over the 21st century. CDR would be used to compensate for residual emissions and, in most cases, achieve net negative emissions to return global warming to 1.5°C following a peak (high confidence)”
– IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change), 2018
We provide a space for people willing to bring about change in the field of carbon reduction technologies, and give people a chance to meet, exchange ideas and develop their carbon businesses.
We work to enable solutions to reduce the carbon in the atmosphere. We are looking for materials and solutions furthering that goal and approach and connect partners from industry, society and government – internationally.
Because we need all the smart we have to tackle climate change. To stand a chance, we need all hands on deck, technical solutions in every industry, approaching the problem from every angle.
Reducing carbon levels in the atmosphere needs global innovations that work on a scale previously unimaginable.
This can only succeed based on a common value set. Here is ours.
We are working with partners, who share the same values and similar goals, trying to keep our CO2-footprint as small as possible.
